Kant en klare oplossing De TD-W8960N is een 3-in-1 apparaat dat de functies van een hoge snelheid DSL modem, een 4-poorts 10/100Mbps NAT router en een draadloze N toegangspunt combineert. Met een telefoonlijn zet de TD-W8960N een hoge snelheid ADSL2+ internetverbinding op. Eenmaal ingesteld kunnen de vaste/draadloze functie van het apparaat worden gebruikt om media te delen tussen apparaten, te browsen op internet, te spreken met een IP Phone, of zelfs een HD video te streamen. Bespaar tijd en geld door één apparaat te gebruiken in plaats van meerdere die meer tijd vergen voor het instellen en meer kabelruimte innemen. Toegang hoge snelheid internet Anders dan internet met een inbelverbinding, is een DSL-verbinding altijd aan, zodat u niet hoeft in te bellen of te wachten op toegang tot het web. Quick Security Setup Om uw netwerk beveiliging encryptie in te stellen, drukt u gewoon op de ‘QSS’ knop van uw TD-W8960N, en vervolgens op de ‘QSS’ knop of geef de router’s PIN code in de draadloze client in, er wordt dan automatisch een WPA veilige verbinding opgezet. Dit is niet alleen sneller dan normale beveiligingsinstellingen, het is ook handiger omdat u geen password hoeft te onthouden! IPSec VPN Met de IPSec VPN (van site naar site) functie, is de TD-W8960N niet langer een gewone draadloos ADSL modem router, hij kan ook werken als een VPN gateway, die tot 10 IPSec VPN tunnels gelijktijdig ondersteunt. De VPN (Virtual Private Network) functie kan geëncrypteerde tunnels creëren tussen het bedrijfsnetwerk en de gebruikers op afstand. Deze tunnels gebruiken virtuele verbindingen in plaats van een specifieke, echte-wereldverbinding zoals een vaste verbinding. Gebruikers moeten dan rekening houden met de volledige data privacy voor de veilige toegang tot en uitwisseling van hun meest gevoelige data van het thuisnetwerk naar het bedrijfsnetwerk of tussen filialen met TD-W8960N. Easy Setup Assistant De CD bevat de Easy Setup Assistant met meertalige ondersteuning. De gebruiker kan zijn moedertaal selecteren bij het instellen van het apparaat en zijn internetverbinding, draadloze netwerkinstellingen en beveiligingsconfiguraties doen zonder het gebruik van een meertalig woordenboek.
